When your body has been in overdrive…

Have you been feeling maxed out and stuck in a constant state of going and doing—trying to balance all of your responsibilities and roles, not wanting to let anything fall?

From the outside, it probably seems like you have it all together. But internally, your mind and body feel like they are always on and it’s wearing you down.

You know your nervous system is out of balance, and your body needs to learn it's safe to relax, but how can you do that when life asks so much of you?

We’ll teach you how to slow down…

Slowness can feel scary when you're used to living in survival mode. That’s why we do this work together. Because something settles when you're surrounded by others who are learning to slow down too. When you hear someone take a deep exhale, you breathe a little deeper. Your body feels a little safer. It becomes easier to notice what’s really going on—in your body, your heart, your mind, and your nervous system.

Our classes, events, and retreats invite you to strengthen your muscle of embodied awareness. To notice what you feel, when you feel it—and to learn how to move, breathe, and release what’s been held.

Because when release doesn’t happen, you remain stuck in that survival state. And everything—sleep, digestion, emotions, relationships, work, parenting, and tasks in general—feel harder, more exhausting, and more overstimulating.

Root Collective is a studio, a community, and a sanctuary to remind yourself that stillness is safe. Stress can be released. And all emotions are welcome. It’s where we go to soften, to reclaim our sense of agency, and to be surrounded by like-hearted women choosing to stop holding it all alone. To move, breathe, feel and heal in community.

Founder of Root Collective™ 

I deeply emphasize with the experience of feeling like you’re just trying to get through the day... rather than feeling like you’re fully living it.

I also know how frustrating it is to actively seek a way out of that survival state, only to keep finding yourself sucked back into it again.

I’ve always craved a space that allowed me to be with both my body and my mind at the same time.

To stretch, find some cathartic release, and regulate my nervous system through movement—while also being invited to explore my inner world and my emotions via journaling and guided discussion.

Drop-In for a Studio Class

Classes available for drop-ins include Monday morning Root Collective Flow, Tuesday morning Embodied Pilates, and Wednesday morning Somatic Breathwork.

These classes will invite you out of your head and into your body, connecting to sensation and using somatic practices to help ground your nervous system.

I support groups of all kinds in a desire to decrease feelings of stress and overwhelm and increase capacity for authenticity, connection, clarity, focused attention, productivity, creativity, and full present-moment living.
