Have you been feeling maxed out and stuck in a constant state of going and doing, trying to juggle all of your responsibilities and roles?

From the outside, it probably seems like you have it all together. But internally, your mind and body feel like they are always on overdrive and it’s wearing you down.

You know your nervous system is out of balance, and your body needs to learn it's safe to relax, but how can you do that when life asks so much of you?

We’ll teach you how to peacefully float.

Learning how to float isn’t so much about abandoning all of our roles and responsibilities— but developing a different relationship with ourselves so that we can become more attuned to our needs and feel more empowered to meet them. This requires us to strengthen the muscle of embodied awareness. This is our capacity to feel our emotions and sensations as they arise in the body so that we can address them and release them in the moment.

Why? Because if we don’t, then our whole system gets stuck. We become unable to truly complete the stress cycle and we get locked in a state of fight/flight/freeze/fawn indefinitely. And when we’re stuck in this state, everything feels harder, more exhausting, and more overstimulating.

Our emotions and stressors become held and stored in the way we move, breathe, sleep, digest, think, work, and interact with others. Learning how to release is like a superpower many of us didn’t know we possess, because we’ve been conditioned to repress and ignore (and store it) instead.

ROOT COLLECTIVE

STUDIO SCHEDULE

MONDAYS: ROOT COLLECTIVE FLOW (9:30AM) + MONDAY MANIFESTING (10:30AM)

Root Collective Flow is our signature somatic movement class designed to help you release pent-up stress and emotions from your body. This class combines a class theme, guided journaling, and intuitive movement/breathwork. It teaches you how to strengthen that muscle of embodied awareness so you know how to release off the mat too.

Monday Manifesting guides you to create your own manifestation journal with a worksheet that invites more intentionality into your week. We will journal, reflect, and discuss together, inspired by the RC theme for the week – and enjoy open studio-time, coffee and tea during and after!

TUESDAYS: SENSUAL FLOW WITH JESS (5:30PM)

Sensual Flow is a weekly hybrid class that marries breath-work, movement, and myofascial release with the tether of feminine sensuality tying it all together. Classes will vary from being more energetic, to more restorative, and everything in between. May include but not be limited to: yoga inspired somatics, self myofascial release, self massage, kundalini inspired flow, and dance.

WEDNESDAYS: SOMATIC BREATHWORK WITH BONNIE (9:30AM)

Somatic Breathwork is a weekly class that guides us to use the power of the breath to shift the stuck emotions creating pressure and tension in the body. By engaging in specific breathing patterns, we can activate the body's natural ability to release this energetic weight and free up more space to access our regulated, grounded selves.

FRIDAYS: ROOT COLLECTIVE FLOW (9-10:30AM) AND PEN + PRESENCE (10:30-11:30AM)

This Root Collective Flow class is 90 minutes and includes group discussion around the weekly theme.

Pen + Presence is a creative writing class. But it isn’t your typical writing class—it’s about giving yourself space to show up. To write, to rest, to reflect, to play. You’ll get a handful of gentle prompts, a cozy container, and full permission to do it your way.

1 SUNDAY A MONTH: MAMA + ME SOMATICS (9-9:45AM)

A 1x monthly (45min) Sunday AM somatic class that invites you to bring your littles ages 2-10 to Root Collective Studio for a morning of co-regulation. In this class we will learn kid-friendly breath and somatic practices to help keep our nervous systems and our little's nervous systems regulated in times of distress.

EVERY OTHER MONTH: SOMATIC SILENT DISCO WITH HOLLY (FRIDAY NIGHT FROM 7-8PM)

This event will rotate every other month on a Friday night with our Friday Dance Party!

Holly, the owner of The Wave SRQ, will lead us in a somatic silent disco that gets us out of our heads and into our bodies for a fun, freeing, and cathartic evening of dancing with our own headphones in a room full of women who are ready to release with some rhythm.

I deeply emphasize with the experience of feeling like you’re just trying to get through the day... rather than feeling like you’re fully living it.

I also know how frustrating it is to actively seek a way out of that survival state, only to keep finding yourself sucked back into it again.

I’ve always craved a space that allowed me to be with both my body and my mind at the same time.

To stretch, find some cathartic release, and regulate my nervous system through movement—while also being invited to explore my inner world and my emotions via journaling and guided discussion.

I realized other women were craving this same space, so I decided to create it.

Drop-In for a Studio Class
